The most important events, initiatives and achievements of our company in 2025.

    month by month: a summary of the year at Ecol

    The past year at Ecol was a time of intense activity, important projects and consistent development in many areas of our business. Over the course of the following months, we carried out key operational tasks, implemented new services and actively participated in industry events. Each month brought new challenges, but also concrete achievements.

    In this article, we present a chronological summary of the most important events – month by month – that have had a significant impact on the functioning and direction of our company’s development.

    Part of the summary is devoted to initiatives that we have been consistently implementing throughout the year. These are long-term activities that reflect our values, corporate responsibility and social commitment. The projects and initiatives we support are an integral part of Ecol’s strategy, going beyond our day-to-day operations. We invite you to read the summary, which shows what the past year looked like at Ecol.

    We support an initiative called ‘eKOrelacje’ (eCOrelationships) – we talk about what is important: ecology, relationships with ourselves, interpersonal relationships, relationships with the local community, and awareness of social responsibility for our relationship with the planet.

    Rybnik Youth Mini Speedway Club ‘Rybki Rybnik’

    We help discover new talents in black sport. We support the training of the youngest competitors and the development of mini speedway in Rybnik. Find out more: We support mini speedway in Rybnik

    Foundation for the Development of Cardiac Surgery in Zabrze

    For many years, we have been showing our heart to those who know (almost) everything about the heart. We support the activities of the Cardiac Surgery Development Foundation in Zabrze, engaging in initiatives for the development of modern medicine, scientific research and improving the quality of treatment for cardiology and cardiac surgery patients.     Theatre for a smile

    We support the ‘Theatre for a Smile’ initiative – we fund moments of distraction and smiles for children in hospitals.

    An eco-friendly relaxation corner in the Rybnik library

    We helped create a welcoming space where readers can relax surrounded by nature. The eco-friendly corner combines a passion for books with inspiring nature photographs by Tomasz Sczanski.

    new equipment in the laboratory

    Our laboratory is constantly evolving. This year, it has already been enriched with equipment such as a breakdown voltage tester, a mineraliser and a DGA gas chromatograph. Find out more: oil and lubricant testing performed in our laboratory

    Gamfi – implementation of an onboarding application

    The implementation of the Gamfi application has streamlined the onboarding process, providing new employees with quick access to essential information, training, and welcome materials.

    second edition of the ‘May health and safety be with you’ campaign

    Once again, we are engaging our employees in occupational safety activities. We are reinforcing health and safety rules, educating and promoting the creation of a safe working environment and strengthening the culture of safety throughout the company.

    eHours project – internal application

    We have implemented an internal mobile application for offline recording of working hours, integrated with the Ecol Majątek programme.

    Ecol – Foam Cleaning workshops

    We organised an internal Ecol workshop entitled ‘Foam Cleaning’ led by Dr Frank Udo Leidich, during which participants learned about modern foam cleaning methods and improved their skills in this area.

    The Ecol Sp. z o.o. team took part in the fifth edition of the RELIABILITY Middle East conference in Dubai as a Silver Sponsor. CEO Wojciech Majka and members of the team presented the company’s solutions in the field of lubricant analysis and industrial installation cleaning technology, participating in discussions on maintenance and reliability.

    Wojciech Majka named Man of the Year Rybnik.com.pl

    The president of Ecol Sp. z o.o., Wojciech Majka, was named Rybnik.com.pl Person of the Year in the Business category and in the internet users’ vote. The battle for victory in the poll lasted until the last minutes of voting, which makes the award even more valuable.     Ecol implementation at Baltic Power

    We prepared eight high-power transformers for commissioning, located at an onshore power station, which is part of a major project – Baltic Power Offshore Wind Farm Construction.

    As part of the project, we supplied approximately 700,000 kg of NYNAS Nytro Lyra X oil for filling transformers and chokes for our customer GE Vernova. Find out more: Filling transformers with oil: Ecol at Baltic Power

    flushing oil systems at Gdańsk Ship Repair Yard

    We flushed the oil systems of the Fugro Voyager and Nordlys ships at the Gdańsk Ship Repair Yard, ensuring the cleanliness and reliability of the oil installations and providing support in maintaining the vessels’ operation.

    delivery and implementation of REMIZ TU 46 turbine oil

    We delivered and implemented approximately 10,000 litres of REMIZ TU 46 turbine oil for the new Siemens SST-600 turbine at the Mondi Świecie plant, in cooperation with Siemens s.r.o., ensuring the correct start-up and optimal operation of the equipment.     We are improving team performance monitoring and project management by implementing an internal application for recording project hours.

    installation of AED devices and training in their use

    Anyone can save the lives and health of their colleagues. We have installed AED devices and conducted training on how to use them so that every employee can respond effectively in situations that threaten the life and health of their colleagues.

    International Robot Tournament at ZST Rybnik

    We provide financial support for the International Robotic Tournament at ZST Rybnik – a weekend during which young people present their own designs and compete for victory, developing their passion for science and new technologies.

    Eco-workshop under the clouds at Primary School No. 9

    As the twig is bent, so grows the tree… Children from Primary School No. 9 in Rybnik already know how important ecology is. We provide financial support for the ‘Ekopracownia pod chmurką’ (Eco-workshop under the clouds) project at Primary School No. 9 in Rybnik, thanks to which children learn how to care for the environment from an early age. The grand opening was attended by the President of Ecol Sp. z o.o., Wojciech Majka.

    1st edition of Szutry Śląskie 2025

    In 2025, we are once again supporting ‘Szutry Śląskie’, a series of gravel races. The first race took place on 26 April in Wodzisław Śląski.

    Florian Nowak English Language Theatre Festival

    We support a festival that allows young people to develop their acting and directing talents and learn English in practice.

    construction of a machine for the AI project (FESL)

    We have commenced research and development work on a station for extracting engineering features from images. We have built a prototype equipped with a camera and AI modules, and are currently working on the target machine, which will work with a cobot.

    Drop of knowledge LIVE!

    On 28–29 May 2025, we organised an open workshop called LIVE Knowledge Sample. Participants visited the Oil Analysis Laboratory in Rybnik and then took part in a series of lectures.

    II edition of Szutry Śląskie

    We are once again sponsoring a gravel event. The second edition took place on 31 May in Rybnik.

    Hoym Model Fest 2025 – 2nd Rybnik Model Festival

    It’s good to have a hobby! World-class model making came to Rybnik, and we provided financial support for the 2nd Rybnik Model Making Festival. The main goal of the event is to promote model making as a hobby that develops manual skills and technical abilities among children and young people, as well as adults and seniors.

    Deliveries of REMIZ TG 32 and REMIZ TG 46 turbine oils for GE turbines as part of the construction of a combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plant in Ostrołęka.

    World-class expertise – the first Polish women from LLA II.

    Emilia Chłodek, Darina Węglorz, Agnieszka Muras-Lipok, Anna Wowk, Katarzyna Gaszka and Marta Łatacz were the first in Poland to obtain LLA II international certificates issued by the International Council for Machinery Lubrication (ICML).

    We have completed another certification audit in the three-year cycle for the SCC Petrochemical standard, which went without any reservations.

    implementation and contract for PGE Nowy Rybnik

    We have contracted the implementation delivery of REMIZ TG Super LR 32 turbine oil for new Siemens turbines (gas SGT-900HL, steam) as part of the construction of the PGE Nowy Rybnik combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) unit.

    Together with ORLEN, we have developed a new product, REMIZ TG Super LR, intended for implementation at PGE Nowy Rybnik. It is the only Polish product approved by Siemens, compliant with the latest TLV 901306 requirements.

    support for the ROW 1964 junior team

    It is not only speedway riders who have a sporting spirit in Rybnik – there is no shortage of football excitement either, and we are happy to fuel it by supporting the ROW 1964 junior team.

    Inter-school Film Knowledge Competition ‘Kinomaniak’

    The magic of cinema delights people of all ages. Together with Secondary School No. 1 in Rybnik, we are developing the film passions of Silesian youth by supporting and promoting knowledge about cinema and creative curiosity.

    The Great Climate Knowledge Test – Rybnik edition

    Education, knowledge and awareness from an early age – this is how we can take care of our planet for future generations. We support the Great Climate Knowledge Test in Rybnik – the fourth edition of a nationwide competition, which took place on 18 November 2025 at the Historic Ignacy Mine. The event was organised by Gazeta Wyborcza.

    Night Experimental Orchestra

    SOS Children’s Villages – Santa Claus – presents for children

    A time when Ecol employees make children’s dreams come true. Our company has once again participated in the ‘Santa Claus – gifts for children’ campaign organised by the SOS Children’s Villages Association.     Obtaining support under the project ‘Professionalisation of lubrication services using the ICML 55.1 standard as a diversification of the company’s offer beyond mining-related sectors’.
