Certificate of Recognition of the Office of Technical Inspection (UDT) for Ecol Chemical Laboratory

In December, we received a renewal of the Office of Technical Inspection (UDT) Certificate of Recognition. The certificate certifies that the Ecol Chemical Laboratory is on the register of recognised UDT laboratories and can carry out the test methods specified in the relevant annex.

The document of Recognition of the Office of Technical Inspection (UDT) for the Ecol Chemical Laboratory confirms that the Ecol Chemical Laboratory, meeting the requirements of the Technical Conditions of the Office of Technical Inspection WUDT-LAB edition 3/2022, “Recognition of Laboratories – Assessment of Competence of Testing Laboratories”, has obtained recognition of the Office of Technical Inspection to perform laboratory tests.

method of laboratory testing

The test method “Chemical testing of sediments”, included in the annex of the Certificate of Recognition, distinguishes the characteristics to be tested and allows for the determination of:

  • contents of CaO, MgO, Al2O3, SO4, P2O5, Fe2O3, CuO, SiO2 by weight method
  • parts insoluble in HCl 1:1 over 0.2%
  • roasting losses at 800°C/850°C

– The test method for the determination of deposits from the internal and external surfaces of technical equipment is important for the subsequent adaptation of the technology for their removal. – explains Emilia Chlodek, head of Ecol’s chemistry laboratory.
– Once we have determined compounds by weight, including sulphates, phosphates, calcium and magnesium oxides, our chemistry department is able to select the appropriate technology for their dissolution and removal.

The Certificate of Recognition and its appendix will be posted on www.udt.gov.pl in the Register of Recognised Laboratories. A list of laboratories recognised by the UDT is available at this link.

Office of Technical Inspection (UDT)?

The Office of Technical Inspection (UDT) is a state legal institution that operates in the field of ensuring the safety of technical equipment based on various legal acts, mainly the Act of 21 December 2000 about technical supervision. The Office of Technical Inspection performs conformity assessments, acts as a certification body (UDT-CERT), a certification body for RES installers, and also acts as a certification body for entrepreneurs and personnel (EMS and F-gases).
