Proserv, part of the Ecol Group, secures a major contract with PGE Energia Ciepła

Proserv Sp. z o.o., a company belonging to the Ecol Group, has won the tender for the modernisation of the TG6 turbine set for PGE Energia Ciepła S.A.’s branch in Gorzów Wielkopolski. This is an important project for the Proserv team and a further step in the development of the entire Ecol Group’s expertise in the energy sector.

The contract will cover the modernisation of the TG6 steam turbine operating in the combined cycle power unit, together with its auxiliary equipment, for a sum in excess of 20 million zlotys. The work will cover, amongst other things, key mechanical and hydraulic systems, control and automation systems, and electrical installations. The entire modernisation project will be designed by Proserv specifically for TG6, utilising Proserv’s products and solutions. The scope will include the preparation of design documentation, supplies, installation, commissioning, testing and staff training.

The aim of the investment is to modernise the TG6 turbine with a view to ensuring full remote operation of the turbine set, increasing the reliability and safety of its operation, and bringing the control and protection systems into line with current technical standards and the requirements of the power market.

Modern automation and cybersecurity in the energy sector

The planned modernisation of TG6 demonstrates just how many areas a single investment project encompasses today. Mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, automation, control systems and cybersecurity must all work together as a single, well-designed whole.
