Ecol President, Wojciech Majka on the ICML Board of Directors

On 31 May, it was officially announced that Ecol CEO Wojciech Majka had been appointed to the Board of Directors of the International Council for Machinery Lubrication (ICML), based in Broken Arrow, Tulsa, USA.

    Ecol has been affiliated to ICML for many years. Membership gives us the opportunity to exchange ideas and thoughts with some of the best equipment lubrication specialists in the world.

    Serving on the ICML board of directors, there is an undeniable prestige that comes from the high standards and prominence that the organisation holds within the industry. ICML is recognised as the authority on machinery lubrication and its certifications and guidelines are valued by companies and professionals around the world. Being part of this elite group of leaders is an acknowledgement of exceptional skills and commitment to the industry. The Council has six members, where only two are from outside the US: with Wojciech Majka from Poland and Kenneth Bannister from Canada.

    Members of the ICML Board of Directors have the opportunity to influence the development of sustainable practices in lubrication management, which contributes to environmental protection and the reduction of resource consumption.

    The opportunity to participate in the development of ICML and its impact on the global industry, as well as to share my practical experience and ideas with such an eminent body as the ICML Board of Directors, is a great honour – emphasises Wojciech Majka. I never thought I would have the opportunity to be part of this organisation! It is not only an honour, but also a motivation to continue working in the field to promote the concept that a well-implemented lubrication strategy is one of the most important elements of maintenance, with a direct impact on plant productivity.

    It is worth noting that certificates confirming knowledge and skills, among others: MLA, MLE, MLT have managed to obtain a large group of Ecol employees. Both through individual development and improvement, as well as during the training, which was conducted by guests from the USA in March this year.
