Kazakhstan is emerging as one of the most interesting industrial markets in Central Asia. The country’s economy is growing, whilst a large-scale modernisation of industry and infrastructure is under way.
Sectors linked to oil and gas, refining, petrochemicals and industrial processing are developing particularly rapidly. The country is investing not only in the extraction of raw materials, but increasingly in their processing and the production of goods with higher added value. In 2026, projects were launched including the expansion of key refineries and preparations for the construction of a new refinery with a capacity of 10 million tonnes per annum.
For Ecol, Kazakhstan represents a new direction for business development. The growing number of new installations and modernised plants also means a rising demand for solutions that support their reliability – from cleaning and flushing oil systems, through filtration and oil diagnostics, to comprehensive lubrication management.
The first important step will be Ecol’s participation in the KIOGE 2026 trade fair in Almaty (30 September–2 October). The company will be showcasing its expertise there and discussing potential collaboration with representatives of Kazakh industry.
This is just the beginning of our presence in this market. We will return to the topic of Kazakhstan, the investments being made there and the opportunities Ecol can offer to local industry in future issues of the newsletter.
