Drop of knowledge #1
Witamy w pierwszym wydaniu newslettera Laboratorium Ecol. We want to share what is important – oil diagnostics knowledge, events in the life of the laboratory, information about trade fairs. We will send out the newsletter once a month, every last Tuesday of the month. We would be very pleased if you would stay with us.
1. Implementing Smart Ecol
The Smart Ecol application is the new standard for sample registration. You will log in to the application using the same login and password that you use on the analizyolejowe.pl website. If you do not have an account, please contact your account manager.

Smart Ecol – what’s changing?
- Instant sample registration – now there is no longer a need to fill in a sample print every time a sample is taken. You fill it in once and, with the help of the RFID tag assigned to the instrument, sample registration is instantaneous.
- Current and historical data – the application allows the quick entry of current data, e.g. the last oil change date, number of top-ups since the last oil change, and also reads historical data, which is unchangeable.
- Mobile access = less mistakes, less paper – using the app minimises errors caused by manual completion of sample forms, allows mobile access to diagnostic reports, contributes to environmental protection by eliminating the need for paper forms.
- Last but not least – it works offline! 😊 The application works offline, so it is possible to use it even in places with limited internet access.
2. We received a positive PCA audit
On 17 and 18 January, another audit took place at the Ecol laboratory by the Polish Centre for Accreditation, confirming that the test results you receive are reliable, credible and repeatable.

Independent Auditors verified the work of the Ecol Laboratory in terms of meeting specific quality standards and its ability to carry out reliable tests in accordance with accepted standards. The audit ended positively, thereby confirming our competence, as well as the credibility and reliability of our test results.

5. Element of the month
- Iron (Fe, Latin: Ferrum) is the most common wear element in lubricants. It is an essential element in all grades of steel, which is by far the most common material in lubricated machinery.
- Iron often correlates with other metals such as chromium, titanium, molybdenum and vanadium. If the correlation remains proportional as the level increases, this suggests that these metals are alloying additives, but if the levels of other metals increase disproportionately, this suggests electroplated coatings.
- In the Bronze Age, before mankind learned to extract iron from ore, iron meteorites were the main source of the metal, as the element so extracted did not require any chemical treatments.

We would like to take this opportunity to…
wish you a very happy New Year. We wish you plenty of success, joy and the fulfilment of all your dreams in the New Year. We thank you for your trust and look forward to being your partner. We look forward to shared challenges and successes in the coming year!
