Thanks to its fast analysis time and small sample volume, FTIR is ideal for monitoring oil condition as part of predictive maintenance programs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"post__paragraph\">In FTIR diagnostics, the most commonly used standard is ASTM E2412.<\/p>\n<p class=\"post__paragraph\">FTIR is a\u00a0reliable tool in the hands of a\u00a0diagnostician \u2013 it allows one to look \u201cinside\u201d the oil and understand what is happening in the machine.
