It describes in detail the areas covered by the accreditation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"post__paragraph\">The scope of accreditation is defined in detail: <\/p>\n<ul class=\"post__list post__list--nonordered\">\n<li class=\"post__list-item\">for which test objects\/subjects (e.g. lubricating materials: industrial lubricating oils),<\/li>\n<li class=\"post__list-item\">with what test methods (e.g. elemental content according to ASTM D5185-18),<\/li>\n<li class=\"post__list-item\">within which test range (e.g. copper 2-160mg\/kg) a\u00a0laboratory can publish accredited results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"post__paragraph\">Interestingly, a\u00a0testing laboratory can be accredited even if it has one accredited parameter. Therefore, it is so important to verify not only the possession of an accreditation certificate, but also the range of accredited parameters that the selected laboratory offers!<\/p>\n<h5 class=\"post__header heading heading--line\">Is accreditation \u2018forever\u2019?<\/h5>\n<p class=\"post__paragraph\">The laboratory is accredited by the PCA for four years. the formation of a\u00a0destructive oxidising layer on the surface of various metals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"post__paragraph\">As part of oil diagnostics, tin is classified as a\u00a0wear metal, so an elevated tin content may be indicative of progressive wear processes in the equipment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"post__paragraph\">The origin of tin, in relation to wear and tear, can be closely linked to the metallurgy of the device:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"post__list post__list--nonordered\">\n<li class=\"post__list-item\">\n<p class=\"post__paragraph\">    is the main component in plain bearing
